ReplyDeleteHi Krystina: This is a nicely written and thorough post. Great job! You raise a very interesting issue about self-interest and ethics. A bit later in the course, in Paula's section, you will see that some thinkers on ethics do believe that ethics and self-interest coincide. Others believe differently, of course, as do you. As you and the other students grapple with the issues you blog about, I hope you begin to ask questions, as you do here, about just what ethics is!
